Announcements

One-way notices from your board or property manager: the pool is closed Thursday, the annual meeting is on the 14th, the landscapers are coming.

Each announcement has a title, a body and optional photos. Some expire on a date, after which they drop off the list on their own.

The expiry chip is the difference between a notice board and an archive nobody trusts.

Comments

You can comment on an announcement where your community allows it. Comments carry your name. If you want to say something privately, use Messages; if you want to say something the board should consider but not publish, use Feedback.

Notifications

New announcements notify you by default. So do comments on announcements you are following. Both are switchable in notification preferences.

Also visible elsewhere

An admin can mark an announcement publicly visible, which puts it on the community's public website. They can also mark one priority, which holds your community's lobby screen until it expires. You cannot tell from the resident view which is which, and it does not change what you read.
