Approved Vendors

A community-wide list of vendors you have already vetted.

What it does

An RFP set to pre-approved visibility can only be answered by vendors on this list. Everything else stays open to any contractor on the portal.

Use it for work where vetting matters more than price: anything touching residents' homes, anything requiring specific insurance, anything where a previous open bid went badly.

Maintaining it

Add vendors you have checked, and take off ones you would not hire again. A stale approved list is worse than no list, because it looks like a vetting process while functioning as a habit.

Where a vendor also maintains a profile on the RFP Portal, their insurance documents and past work live there, which is worth reading before adding them.
