Conversations arrive under the contact role the resident picked: Maintenance, Billing, Architectural Review, whatever you configured, plus the built-in General thread for anything that does not fit.

The list marks the conversations assigned to you: the roles you are assigned to, plus roles with nobody assigned, plus General. You can see everything, but you can tell at a glance what is actually yours.

Working the list

Each conversation shows the resident, the role, the last message, who sent it and the unread count. Unread state is per side, so a resident reading your reply does not clear your own unread marker and vice versa.

Blocking

You can block a member from sending messages. They are told, rather than having their messages silently dropped, which avoids a resident escalating to the board because they think the system is broken.

Blocking is for abuse. For someone who simply asks too often, an FAQ usually works better.

Response expectations

Nothing here enforces a response time, so set one yourselves and staff the roles accordingly. A role with no assigned admins falls to everyone, which in practice means nobody.
